How Your Donation Supports Our Community
Non Base Fee – Donation Program School Year 2025/2026
FFJCP’s enrollment in the Government (CWELCC) funding program provided meaningful savings to our families. However, it has not come without significant challenges for our school.
Simply put, the $22/day fee structure does not allow FFJCP to provide the standard of care our parent community has come to know and love. There are significant shortfalls in the CWELCC funding, including:
Lack of Funding for Jewish Holiday Closures: The 14 Jewish holidays in 2025/26 exceed the funding limit provided by the government on days that childcare centres are allowed to be closed and receive funding. This means that closing for Jewish holidays will result in a loss to FFJCP of $92,416 for the 2025-26 calendar year.
Security: Despite what is happening in our city, the government has specifically refused additional funding for security.
Kosher Healthy Eating Program: The CWELCC funding model does not support the cost of our Kosher healthy eating program.
Jewish Curriculum & Teacher Training: The leadership staff that create our Jewish curriculum and train our teachers are not funded through CWELCC fees. These members of our team enable us to invest in our staff and ensure we are providing your children with the best Jewish education possible.
Adequate Staffing to Ensure Coverage: We currently have floating teachers on staff to enable us to deal with the fact that, due to illness or other circumstances, one or more of our 30 teachers is away virtually every day. These staff members are not funded by the government and are the sole reason we are able to prevent last minute classroom closures.
Reduced Teacher Turnover: The government formula provides a maximum of approximately $26 per hour for teachers. FFJCP strives to provide our staff with a well deserved and appropriate wage.
We are asking families to help close the funding gap by way of a monthly donation when enrolled in our program.
Your donation ensures FFJCP can continue to meet excellence standards in Early Jewish Education while remaining in the CWELCC program, offering our families the benefits of both worlds.
For families enrolled in the program, by opting in, your monthly pre authorized debit will reflect your monthly tuition plus the donation amount suggested below. You will receive a donation receipt equal to the total amount donated.
If you would like to donate a different amount to FFJCP please let us know by emailing accounting@
