Non Base Fee – Donation Program School Year 2026/2027

At First Foundations, everything we do is guided by a deep commitment to nurturing each

child in a warm, secure, and authentically Jewish environment. The strength of our program

has always come from a meaningful partnership with our families—one rooted in shared

values and a collective investment in our children’s early Jewish experiences.

As many of you know, our participation in the Government’s CWELCC program has made

childcare more affordable for families. While this has been an important step forward, the

funding model does not fully reflect the true cost of delivering the level of care,

programming, and environment that defines FFJCP.

There are several important areas where funding falls short, including:

Jewish Holiday Closures: The number of Jewish holidays exceeds funded closure days,

resulting in a significant financial gap each year.

Security: Increased security needs are not supported within the current funding model.

Kosher Healthy Eating Program: The cost of maintaining our nutritious kosher meal

program is not covered.

Jewish Curriculum & Teacher Development: The educators and leaders who build our

Jewish programming and support staff growth are not funded.

Consistent Classroom Coverage: Additional staff who ensure classrooms remain open

and stable each day are not included in funding.

Supporting and Retaining Educators: Funding limitations make it difficult to offer wages

that reflect the value of our dedicated team.

Family Engagement Programming: Signature family experiences such as our annual

Challah Bake, Model Seder, holiday celebrations, and other meaningful community

events bring families together to celebrate Jewish life alongside their children. These

shared experiences strengthen Jewish continuity, deepen family connections to

traditions, and create lasting memories that extend the joy and learning from our

classrooms into the home.

These elements are not extras—they are essential to the experience and standard of care

that make FFJCP what it is.

With this in mind, we are inviting families to consider participating in a voluntary donation

program to help sustain these core aspects of our school:

$10 per day for full-day programs (Nursery)

$5 per day for half-day programs (Pre Nursery)

Your participation is entirely optional, and every contribution—regardless of amount—plays

a meaningful role in supporting the continuity and quality of your child’s experience. We

recognize that each family’s circumstances are unique.

If you would like to contribute a different amount, or if participating is not possible at this

time, we completely understand.

If you choose to participate, your pre-authorized donation will be processed through

CrowdChange on a credit card. You will receive a charitable tax receipt for for the full

amount contributed – immediately for each monthly donation made.
